Dear Business Leader:

Research shows that today's schools can help prepare the workforce of tomorrow by exposing students and educators to the world of work.   On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Attleboro Area School to Career Partnership, Inc., I am asking for your support in this endeavor.

Our mission is to foster collaboration between businesses, school systems and their respective community organizations for the preparation of a highly skilled workforce by supporting work-based learning activities. We promote and coordinate programs that support the "career exploration continuum" which consists of career days, job shadow exploration days, internships, and job placement.

During fiscal year ending June 2014 the partnership is proud to report that we accomplished the following through grants, individual and corporate donations, and state and federal grants:

Placed 200+ students in job or internship opportunities with 133 employers.

Organized Career Exploration opportunities for over 200 students in events such as: Construction Career Day, Future Nurses Day, Future Educators Day.

Provided 100+ job shadows for high school students with 80 employers.

Held our 4th Credit for Life Fair at Weaton College for 325 students

Created training modules in the area of career development that benefited over 400 students.

Trained 10 students to become Certified Nursing Assistants through our Health Career Pathways Program offered with the help and support of Lifecare of Attleboro.

Coordinated our 1st "Job Opportunities Fair" that benefited 100 students, this event targeted seniors who had yet to solidify their plans post graduation.

In total our organization was able to reach out and provide services to a total of 1,500  students in four school systems with the support we received from last year.

Some of our goals for the coming year include:

Increasing support for student internships and job shadow experiences.

Support Norton High Schools Career Day scheduled for April 2015.

Increase the number of students to 400 who will be able to participate in the Credit For Life Fair.

Coordinate this years "Opportunities Fair" expanding the schools that participate.

Sustaining the partnership through diversified funding sources.

Increasing our staff to service all 7200 students in grades 8-12.

After learning about the benefits our organization provides to so many students, I urge you to make a Tax-deductible contribution using the enclosed pledge form.

Thank you for your time,

Christine M. LaChance, Executive Director
